The value of kindness can’t, in my opinion, be overstated. We need more kindness in the world: kindness to animals, to other humans, to our planet, to ourselves. In the recent bushfires across Australia we saw many acts of kindness. This is also true right now, during the COVID-19 pandemic. But it’s also the case that crises like this one can bring out the worst in people. Let’s not hoard, let’s not be angry with those who tell us we can only buy one packet of toilet rolls, or only have family members in our homes. Let’s be kind and we will get through this with considerably less pain.
